My textile work is usually printed on cotton sateen with procion dye and embellished with embroidery thread. I also use oil paint stick and fabric paint on some pieces. My original prints use oil based print makers inks on a variety of papers. Occasionally I will incorporate other materials which should be included in the description of the work. here

Is Textile Art Framed?

Where the description of the artwork states that it is framed, the fabric will have been stretched over a wooden support and then secured in a frame without glass. This allows the subtleties of the fabric and the textures of the stitching to be fully enjoyed.

Unframed textile work hangs from a baton, which has a hanging wire attached and is hung like any framed piece.

How are prints sold?

Unframed prints are sent with a mount and a backing board ready for you to choose a frame. Framed prints are sent ready for hanging.
