Magazine pages can add an unexpected element, often sparking fresh ideas. How closely you stick to your original inspiration is entirely up to you;  it can be a great way to simplify and create a more abstract image, if that’s your goal.

For a long time I thought I had no interest or aptitude for art but when I realised that this wasn’t true I found I lacked the skills to create my own individual work.  Fortunately, my research led me to the City & Guilds (Stitched Textiles) course where I was able to develop my design skills and spark my creative journey.
