Lifting

£125.00

‘Lifting’ is inspired by the balance between our actions and the natural world.

Newspaper headlines relating to our environment were collated and reproduced on a silk screen. Earth pigments were used to paint layers of colour and to screenprint the newspaper headlines.

The natural texture of the linen is still visible through the layers of earth pigments and if you look closely, you can see fragments of letters from the newspaper headlines.

The lighter spheres, added separately, are hand stitched and lifting.

This is a one of a kind artwork which evokes warmth and curiosity.

Size:

33 cm x 33cm including the narrow bare faced wooden frame.

Unglazed, ready for hanging
